I have a strong belief in the word ‘PRATHYUTHPANNA MATHITHVA’ coined by Poet Laureate KUVEMPU, which means, ‘Having presence of mind’ or ‘a Prompt understanding’ which is not only significant but also a global expectation. NCF is also emphasized the creation of knowledge rather than imparting knowledge. Our college is aimed at it. Students of contemporary age are expected to fit to the international scenario. We have established a Teacher’s Training College with all these in view. Management and Faculty are committed to attain it.

I am delighted to welcome you to our institution i.e., Shankaragowda College of Education,In our college we see the educational experience as a journey that is stimulating and enjoyable as our teacher trainees move towards their potential as lifelong learners and as leaders of the future. In order to achieve its mission the Institute has taken up substantial work in the areas of pre-service teacher education, supporting development of textbooks, continuous comprehensive evaluation and orientation of in- service teachers. Today, our country needs more creative and innovative talents to meet the unprecedented challenges and advantages of the vast opportunities presented by technological changes and globalisation. Therefore, there is a necessity to renew our commitment to excellence in education. We have a committed set of faculty members and administrative staff. Together, we will build this organization’s strength and remain committed to excellence in teacher education.
